Flattening rolls are counter-pressure rolls with outer race made up of high-thickness tempered steel. The outer diameter usually ranges from 20 to 300 mm, while the working zone usually ranges from 25 to 200 mm. To avoid the strong concentrations of load that would occur at the ends of the working area, specific optimized profiles are used that guarantee high quality standards.
They can be supplied with rolling systems (balls, cylindrical bearings, rolls, etc..) and sealing systems (fey, sliding seals, labyrinth systems, etc.) that are suitable for the most varied operating conditions (flattening machines for black plates, flattening machines for stainless steel plates, etc.).
Flattening rolls are generally mounted in line or connected one to the other by means of robust shafts. The model with integrated shaft simplifies the assembly operations, thus reducing maintenance time and costs.
